Garrett brings over a decade of executive leadership experience in nonprofit operations, humanitarian services, and community development.
In his role at VolunteerNow™, Garrett leads mission-critical programs, including Donated Goods and Volunteer Services. Through his leadership, he’s helping to expand access to resources, mobilize volunteers, and strengthen community partnerships that create lasting, measurable impact.
Garrett’s work is driven by a deep belief in the power of collaboration and collective action to strengthen communities.
Before joining VolunteerNow, Garrett led humanitarian efforts as Executive Director for the International Rescue Committee Texas and previously as Regional Director for World Relief Texas.
He has also served as chair of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex Network, a regional coalition of resettlement agencies and stakeholders working to build coordinated, compassionate services for displaced families.
Garrett holds a B.A. in Communications from Texas A&M University, a Master of Divinity from Southern Seminary, and an M.B.A. from the University of Kansas. A lifelong learner and advocate for inclusion, Garrett is committed to building systems that foster belonging, resilience, and opportunity for all.
