VolunteerNow to use Elan City Lights Apartment furniture for a good cause
(DALLAS, 9/12/19) – Three months after destructive storms displaced hundreds of people living in the Elan City Apartments, national technology nonprofit VolunteerNow will re-purpose furniture generously donated by tenants.
Instead of letting the leftover pieces go to waste, VolunteerNow will accept good-condition sofas, lamps, entertainment centers and patio furniture to sell in its Donated Good Discount Depot store, located directly across the street from the apartment complex.
The items will be offered at a fraction of retail cost and available to first responders, active military members and veterans, teachers and school district staff, and nonprofit employees and clients. Proceeds will benefit VolunteerNow and its mission of transforming lives through volunteers.
The Donated Goods Discount Depot program allows major brands to direct surplus and sample items to organizations and individuals who need to stretch their dollars to cover vital needs. More information can be found at www.volnow.org/DG.
