VolunteerNow Names Chief Development Officer

(DALLAS, 11/28/16) – VolunteerNow is pleased to announce that tenured sales and fundraising professional Sally Rudd has joined the organization as its Chief Development Officer. Rudd will champion individual giving, corporate giving, sponsorships and foundation support, as well as special events and grant writing efforts.

“We are thrilled to have Sally join the VolunteerNow team and look forward to her deepening the extensive relationships that we have nurtured over the last 45 years in North Texas,” VolunteerNow CEO Tammy Richards said.

Rudd’s diverse 30-year career in relationship building encompasses fundraising, business development, marketing, and special event development within the nonprofit, construction, architecture, and tourism industries. Her unique skill set will allow VolunteerNow to expand its volunteer management services through fundraising, grant writing and special events.

Prior to joining to VolunteerNow, Rudd managed the “Friends of the Arboretum” program for the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden for almost three years. Her experience includes 20 years in the Arizona building industry, where Rudd was the Director of Marketing for Todd and Associates Architects and then the Vice President of Business Development for Johnson Carlier General Contractors. Rudd’s list of accomplished experience also includes serving as National Sales Manager and Tourism Development Manager with the Tampa Convention and Visitors Bureau.   

Hailing from the Midwest, the proud Hoosier is a graduate of Purdue University and has a Masters in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Phoenix, Arizona.  She earned her “Deuxieme Degree” from the Institute des Etrangers in Strasbourg, France.
