45 Years: Richard Vitale

Richard Vitale is dedicated to giving back to his hometown. From serving on numerous nonprofit boards, to leading the community as Senior Vice President of Bank of America, his impact is felt across the city of Dallas.

While he has been part of many organizations, including the board chair for YMCA White Rock and North Dallas Chamber of Commerce, his heart lies with Woodrow Wilson High School. Vitale was instrumental in establishing the International Baccalaureate program there – an innovative, new teaching method that focuses on hands-on education.

Vitale has also been recognized as Dallas ISD Leadership Distinguished Alumni of the Year, a Finalist for the Dallas Foundation Good Works Under 40, the YMCA Volunteer of the Year, and many others.

Investing in students and in the children of our city is Vitale’s way of paying it forward.

“It’s the right thing to do,” he said. “You can either sit on the sidelines and complain, or go do it.”
